Description:

A novel potent, selective Kv2 channel inhibitor that potently inhibits Kv2.1 and Kv2.2 with IC50 of 0.14 and 0.09 uM, respectively; shows no significant activity against Kv1.2 and Kv7.1, and Cav channels; enhances GSIS in isolated wild-type (WT) mouse and human islets, but not in islets from Kv2.1(-/-) mice, enhances somatostatin release in isolated human and mouse islets.
