Description:

Herboxidiene (GEX1A, TAN-1609) is a polyketide molecule first isolated from the fermentation broth of Streptomyces chromofuscus, shows in vitro antitumor activity by targeting the SF3B protein in the splicesosome; inhibits the pre-mRNA splicing of p27, targets SAP155 protein, a subunit of SF3b responsible for pre-mRNA splicing.
