Description:

Isoginkgetin (Iso-ginkgetin;IsoG) is a chemical inhibitor of Pre-mRNA splicing, does not target the SF3b subunit of the U2 snRNP, inhibits splicing both in vivo and in vitro at micromolar concentrations; appears to do so by preventing stable recruitment of the U4/U5/U6 tri-small nuclear ribonucleoprotein, resulting in accumulation of the prespliceosomal A complex; inhibits cell proliferation in a reversible fashion, inhibits promoter-proximal transcription elongation.
