Description:

Y-39983 (Y39983) is a potent and selective p160 ROCK inhibitor with Ki of 140 nM; displays > 200-fold selectivity for p160ROCK than PKC, cAMP-dependent protein kianse and Mypsin light-chain kinase; promotes regeneration of crushed axons of retinal ganglion cells into the optic nerve of adult cats, shows therapeutic potential for axonal regeneration of RGCs in the treatment of diseases with degenerating axons of RGCs including glaucoma.
